Job summary

Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions is seeking a Senior Underwriter to join our Striior team remotely nationwide. You will underwrite complex risks, determine acceptance, and monitor results, while coaching newer underwriters as needed.

Travel across the assigned territory is expected to cultivate broker relationships and ensure profitability. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 3–5 years of underwriting experience, and a P&C license (or willingness to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of underwriting experience.
• Hold a Property & Casualty (P&C) License or be willing to secure one following onboarding.
• Wood frame Builders Risk expertise is preferred.
• CPCU, AINS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages a profitable book of business by evaluating results and portfolio reviews for assigned territory.
• Underwrites new business within authority, accepts/declines/modifies risks.
• Develops relationships with producers to promote growth, retention and profitability.
• Collaborates with underwriting staff on pricing, products and systems.
• Executes underwriting decisions and documents files/reports in systems.
• Extensive regional travel to develop broker relationships.
