Sentara Health Plans is seeking a Senior Underwriter for a remote role to underwrite high-complexity employer groups and guide strategic rating decisions. The role requires deep expertise in claims analysis, actuarial concepts, and both Fully Insured and Self-Funded underwriting.

The Senior Underwriter will mentor and support Underwriters and Trainees, handle high-profile cases and RFPs, and collaborate with Sales, Actuarial, and Leadership to drive underwriting strategy and continuous process

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7 years of underwriting experience required.
• Health Plan experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Underwrite high-complexity employer groups and lead strategic pricing decisions.
• Mentor Underwriters and Trainees and support high-profile cases and RFPs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Actuarial, and Leadership; contribute to process improvements and underwriting strategy.
