Sentara Health is seeking a Senior Underwriter for a remote role to underwrite highly complex employer groups, balancing competitive pricing with profitability and using deep claims analysis and actuarial concepts.

The role includes mentoring underwriters and trainees, supporting high-profile cases and RFPs, and collaborating with Sales, Actuarial and Leadership. You will contribute to ongoing process improvements and underwriting strategy.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED.
• 7 years of underwriting experience REQUIRED.
• Health Plan experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Underwrite employer groups of high complexity with strategic rating decisions balancing competitiveness and profitability.
• Mentor Underwriters and Trainees; support high-profile cases and RFPs; collaborate with Sales, Actuarial and Leadership.
• Contribute to process improvement, training development, and underwriting strategy.
