Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Senior Underwriter for a remote role. You will underwrite high‑complexity employer groups and develop pricing that balances competitiveness with profitability, applying claims analysis and funding concepts for Fully Insured and Self‑Funded programs.

You will mentor Underwriters and Trainees, support high‑profile cases and RFPs, and collaborate with Sales, Actuarial, and Leadership while driving process improvements and underwriting strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is REQUIRED.
• Experience underwriting employer groups is REQUIRED.
• Health plan experience preferred
