Sentara Health Plan is hiring a Senior Underwriter for a remote, full-time, permanent role. You will apply deep underwriting expertise to claims analysis, pricing, and funding arrangements across Fully Insured and Self-Funded programs.

You will mentor underwriters and trainees, support high-profile cases and RFPs, and collaborate with Sales, Actuarial, and Leadership to drive underwriting strategy and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Health plan experience preferred.
• Expertise in Fully Insured and Self-Funded underwriting.

Responsibilities
