Job summary

American International Group seeks a Senior Underwriter for Representations and Warranties - M&A Financial Lines to protect clients in complex deals. You will structure, underwrite and negotiate transactional insurance, analyzing deal documents and conducting due diligence.

You will interact with brokers, lawyers and corporate professionals, lead underwriting calls and guide outside counsel. AIG emphasizes collaboration and growth in a global, in-office environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in M&A legal, underwriting, corporate finance or related field.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills for complex deal documentation.
• Solid understanding of representations and warranties and related risk analysis.
• Ability to communicate clearly with brokers, lawyers and clients and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite representations and warranties transactions with a focus on risk assessment.
• Review deal documents, conduct due diligence, and analyze deal structures.
• Draft non-binding indications, policies and binder terms for transactional insurance.
• Lead client and broker interactions and coordinate with outside counsel and advisors.
• Present findings to management and contribute to marketing and product strategy.
