Job summary

American International Group (AIG) seeks an Underwriting Leader for Representations and Warranties in M&A Financial Lines to steer the underwriting of complex transactions and shape client solutions. You will lead negotiations, review deal documents, coach underwriters, and build relationships with brokers, lawyers, private equity firms and corporate professionals.

This role requires deep M&A underwriting expertise, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate across geographies while

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of complex corporate M&A transactions.
• Advanced negotiating and relationship-management skills.
• Deep knowledge of transactional legal exposures (warranty breaches, tax structuring, damages).
• Strong financial and commercial acumen for analyzing earnings and reports.
• Ability to present to brokers, legal advisors and senior stakeholders.
• 7+ years in M&A legal, underwriting or related field, with 3+ years in M&A insurance underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the underwriting of representations and warranties transactions.
• Review deal documents and due diligence to assess risk and coverage.
• Provide leadership and coaching to underwriters and analysts.
• Develop relationships with brokers, lawyers, PE principals and corporate professionals.
• Present findings to management and coordinate with outside counsel and advisors.
• Contribute to marketing and product strategy for transactional insurance.
