Berkley Management Protection, part of the Berkley Company, is seeking an Underwriter/Sr. Underwriter in Connecticut. The role focuses on managing new and renewal accounts with emphasis on underwriting and pricing under BMP guidelines.

You will work with Territory Managers, AVPs and RVPs to drive growth and profitability while mentoring junior staff. The position requires 5–7 years in management liability underwriting, strong communication skills, and deep knowledge of D&O, Cyber, EPL, Crime,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related underwriting field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of management liability underwriting experience.
• Experience contributing to a high performing marketing/sales team.
• Strong product knowledge in D&O, Cyber, EPL, Crime, Fiduciary, MPL.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts in assigned regions per BMP rules.
• Oversee lifecycle of submissions: quoting, filing, binding, issuing, and signed apps.
• Guide underwriting best practices to ensure pricing, profitability, and structuring adequacy.
• Lead and manage a team of underwriters and mentor junior staff.
• Collaborate with Territory Managers, AVPs and RVPs to target key accounts.
• Develop and execute strategic initiatives and improve workflows for agents.
