You will perform coverage analyses, establish reserves, and collaborate with agents, insureds, and legal counsel to resolve claims efficiently while maintaining high service standards. The role requires strong attention to detail and license readiness within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of management liability claims handling or litigation experience.
• Direct EPL experience is essential; D&O, professional liability or crime is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze liability and damages to establish reserves.
• Evaluate coverage issues and draft clear coverage position letters.
• Investigate, negotiate, and resolve claims with supervision from the Chief Claims Officer.
• Appoint and manage outside counsel for cost-efficient resolution.
• Make decisions within assigned authority and escalate when needed.
• Oversee litigation management and approve payments within limits.
• Maintain accurate documentation per internal standards.
• Deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support underwriting with risk exposure insights and trends.
• Identify emerging issues with broader implications for the organization.
