Job summary

Berkley Management Protection, member of W.R. Berkley Corporation, seeks a Senior Claims Consultant in Connecticut to manage a moderate-to-complex management liability and professional liability caseload.

You will analyze liabilities, set reserves, and coordinate with internal teams for high-quality claims handling. The role requires at least 5 years in management liability claims handling, EPL experience, D&O or crime exposure, and the ability to obtain adjuster licenses within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in management liability claims handling or litigation.
• Direct EPL experience essential. D&O, professional liability or crime experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze liability and damages to establish reserves.
• Evaluate coverage issues and draft coverage position letters.
• Investigate, negotiate, and resolve claims with supervision.
• Appoint and manage outside counsel for claim resolution.
• Make sound decisions within authority and escalate when appropriate.
• Oversee litigation management and approvals within authority limits.
