Job summary

The role focuses on structuring, underwriting, and negotiating transactional insurance solutions, coordinating with brokers, lawyers, and corporate professionals. The candidate will review transaction documents, assess risk, and present findings to management, contributing to AIG’s relationship development and marketing plans.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years’ experience in M&A legal, underwriting, corporate finance or another relevant business.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Understanding complex corporate M&A transactions and drafting transaction documents.
• Knowledge of transactional exposures (warranty breaches, tax issues, litigation, damages).

Responsibilities

• Conduct background research on transaction parties and industries.
• Review deal documents and assess risk for the analysis and risk.
• Prepare and negotiate non-binding indication letters, insurance policies and binder agreements.
• Interact with clients, brokers, lawyers, and deal professionals.
• Lead underwriting conference calls and manage the underwriting process.
