Nationwide is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Brokerage Casualty to determine acceptability, pricing, coverage, and terms for the Primary Casualty line. E&S/S experience is preferred. You will review risks, develop premiums, and manage broker relationships in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you’ll work with brokers and reinsurers, determine reinsurance needs within guidelines, and support marketing and underwriting campaigns. Travel to broker offices may be required.

Qualificações

• Undergraduate studies preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
• Completion of general insurance courses such as IIA 21, 22, 23, CPCU, CIC, AU, ARM, CPIW, CWIS, or ASLI is preferred.
• Four years related experience or 2 years’ experience as an underwriter; E&S/S experience preferred.
• Knowledge of underwriting policies, rating plans, reinsurance concepts and market practices.

Responsabilidades

• Review risks with brokers and determine acceptance, pricing, endorsements and exclusions.
• Achieve production and loss ratio goals through broker management and marketing.
• Handle policy maintenance, endorsements, and loss control recommendations.
• May place reinsurance within guidelines and maintain broker/reinsurer relationships.
• Travel to broker offices for training or marketing; support underwriting campaigns.
