Job summary

You will work to achieve production and loss ratio goals while collaborating with brokers, program managers, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• Five years as a CL underwriter, excess & surplus lines experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CL underwriting policies, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Research market trends and viability with brokers and cross-functional teams.
• Accept or decline risks based on evidence, determine premium and endorsements.
• Place reinsurance when required and maintain broker relationships.
• Manage policy changes, endorsements and loss control recommendations.
• Support development of new products and mentoring of junior underwriters.
