Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced engineer to design complex underground transmission lines up to 500kV. You will lead a design team of engineers, designers, and drafters, develop criteria, routing, and manhole placement, and coordinate with vendors and clients on line components.

The role emphasizes strong technical leadership, adherence to codes, and collaboration across project teams, with a hybrid work arrangement and relocation support.

Qualifications

This position requires a BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
Current PE license is required.
Proficiency with CYMCAP modeling and cable tensioning calculations.

Responsibilities

Lead complex underground transmission line design projects up to 500kV.
Direct project teams of engineers, designers, and drafters.
Develop design criteria, siting, routing, and manhole placement.
Prepare specifications for installation and procurement of materials.
Coordinate with vendors and clients on transmission line components.
