This role requires a BS from an ABET-accredited program and a PE license, plus strong leadership in cost estimation, specifications, and vendor coordination. A hybrid work arrangement applies with relocation support depending on location.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Current PE license.
• Proficiency with CYMCAP modeling.
• Proficiency with cable tensioning calculations and software.
• 12+ years leading a design team on underground transmission projects.
• Design experience with code requirements and industry standards.
• Experience with cost estimates and project scheduling.
• Experience with XLPE cable design.
• Preparation of installation and procurement specifications.
• Knowledge of right-of-way, bonding, and construction documents.
• Proficiency with MS Office; excellent written and verbal communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design complex underground transmission lines up to 500kV.
• Lead the design team and coordinate with vendors and clients.
• Develop duct bank layouts and trenchless design concepts.
• Perform ampacity calculations and cable selection studies.
• Develop riser structures and structural loading.
• Prepare installation and procurement specifications.
• Coordinate with project teams to meet schedules and budgets.
• Review drawings and technical documents for compliance.
