Job description

Senior UKG HRIS Business Analyst

100% Remote, Permanent / Direct Hire Opportunity

Are you an HRIS professional who knows how to turn workforce data into meaningful business insights and technology improvements? This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact by strengthening HR analytics, optimizing UKG functionality, improving compensation reporting, and transforming manual processes into more efficient workflows.

Our client, a respected nonprofit healthcare organization, is seeking a Senior UKG HRIS Business Analyst who brings together analytical expertise, UKG reporting experience, and a strong understanding of HR business processes. This is more than a traditional system administration role. You will collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, and organizational leadership to identify opportunities, solve business challenges, and deliver sustainable improvements that benefit the organization and its workforce.

Enjoy the flexibility of a fully remote position while taking on a visible, collaborative role where your ability to analyze data, build relationships, and navigate complex business needs will make a difference. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working with reports and spreadsheets, evaluating system functionality, and helping stakeholders turn ideas into practical solutions.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Analyzing workforce data to identify trends, evaluate key performance indicators, and deliver actionable insights to leadership
  • Building, customizing, and enhancing UKG reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to support workforce planning and organizational decision-making
  • Evaluating HRIS functionality, identifying system gaps, and recommending enhancements that improve data integrity, reporting capabilities, and the employee experience
  • Supporting compensation analysis through salary benchmarking, pay practice evaluations, and compensation reporting
  • Developing and maintaining advanced Excel spreadsheets, HR reports, and analytical tools to improve data accuracy and accessibility
  • Assessing HR and payroll workflows to identify automation opportunities, reduce manual effort, and streamline operations
  • Collaborating with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, and other system administrators to troubleshoot issues and coordinate system enhancements
  • Gathering stakeholder requirements, evaluating potential solutions, and building consensus around system enhancements and process improvements
  • Maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of sensitive employee, compensation, and organizational data
  • Coordinating testing, implementation, and ongoing support for HRIS enhancements and cross-functional initiatives
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities that align with organizational priorities, available resources, and long-term goals
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with UKG Pro WFM or a comparable UKG workforce management solution
  • Professional experience in HRIS, compensation analysis, HR reporting, and business process improvement
  • Hands-on experience building and customizing UKG reports, including Business Intelligence reporting capabilities
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including analyzing complex datasets and developing meaningful reports
  • Experience working in healthcare or another complex, cross-functional organizational environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs and data into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, and leadership teams
  • A collaborative, continuous improvement mindset with the patience to navigate shared decision-making, competing priorities, and resource constraints
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources Management, or a related discipline
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience optimizing an existing UKG Pro WFM environment following implementation
  • Experience identifying and implementing automation opportunities across HR and payroll processes
  • Knowledge of compensation structures, salary benchmarking, and internal pay practices
  • Experience improving data governance, reporting standards, and data integrity
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional system enhancements
  • Familiarity with interconnected HR, payroll, finance, and workforce management systems
Why This Opportunity?
