Job summary

Flightwave, a wholly owned subsidiary of Red Cat Holdings, is seeking a full-time Staff Electrical Engineer to lead UAV electrical design and system integration. Responsibilities include managing a team, defining testable requirements, and delivering EMI/EMC compliant hardware for advanced drone platforms.

The role emphasizes board design, DFx/DFT best practices, EVT execution, and collaboration with manufacturing and suppliers in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 11–15 years in electronics or aerospace.
• Knowledge of HDI PCB technology and EMI/EMC performance optimization.
• Experience with PI/SI, SPICE, and high-speed serial busses.

Responsibilities

• Lead a system-level electrical design with processors and microcontrollers.
• Break down requirements into testable, traceable specifications.
• Manage a small engineering team and integrate designs into a system.
• Develop designs meeting EMC regulatory requirements (MIL-STD-461G, FCC, CE).
• Oversee EVT procedures and PCB layout reviews with internal/external teams.
