Job summary

Flightwave, a subsidiary of Red Cat Holdings, seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to own high-level system design for drones, gimbals, or control stations. You will decompose requirements, lead a cross-disciplinary team, and drive designs that meet EMI/EMC, DFM, and DFT standards.

You will manage a system-level electrical design with processors and MCUs, while coordinating with manufacturing to deliver robust, manufacturable products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 11–15 years of relevant industry experience.
• In-depth knowledge of HDI PCB technology and EMI/EMC design principles.

Responsibilities

• Break down product requirements into clear, testable system and subsystems requirements.
• Estimate engineering effort and project durations to support schedules.
• Lead a small team of engineers and integrate designs into a working system.
• Ensure designs meet EMC/DFM/DFT requirements and pass EVT testing.
• Review PCB layouts and collaborate with manufacturing partners.
