Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking an UAS Technician in Lexington, KY to maintain, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair unmanned aircraft systems and ground-support equipment. You will ensure safety, reliability, and mission-capability while documenting all actions.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, installing hardware and software updates, and conducting functional tests. Travel to support task orders may be required; candidates should be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in electronics, aviation maintenance, robotics, communications systems, or mechanical repair is preferred.
• Ability to travel to support task orders and obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on UAS airframes, propulsion systems, flight-control components, payloads, batteries, and ground-control equipment.
• Conduct pre-use, post-flight, and periodic inspections in accordance with manuals and procedures.
• Diagnose faults; identify root causes and coordinate repairs.
• Install, configure, test, and update UAS hardware, firmware, software, sensors, and payloads.
• Maintain tools, parts, and technical publications needed for UAS operations.
• Inspect, charge, discharge, store, transport, and track batteries per safety rules.
• Conduct functional checks and ground tests before returning systems to service.
• Document maintenance actions and configuration changes.
• Maintain inventory and accountability for UAS equipment and spares.
• Identify maintenance trends and safety hazards; recommend corrective actions.
