Job summary

Platform Aerospace is seeking an experienced UAS Maintenance Technician/Instructor III to install, maintain, and repair unmanned aircraft and related systems. The role includes hands-on instruction and training for internal personnel and customers, ensuring safe field operations and adherence to procedures.

The position requires extensive troubleshooting across engines, avionics, and mechanical subsystems, with opportunities to lead training programs and respond to urgent situations in the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform routine and preventive maintenance for aircraft systems/subsystems, and ground support equipment.
• Experience diagnosing/troubleshooting engines, flight controls, avionics, technology, and associated system components.
• Knowledge of rigging equipment and safe rigging techniques.
• Ability to travel 75% CONUS & OCONUS.
• Must currently possess and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
• Must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret level security clearance.

REPORTS TO: FIELD OPERATIONS MANAGER

Job Summary

Under Indirect Supervision, the UAS Maintenance Technician/Instructor III will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all aircraft and related equipment. This role will be responsible for monitoring, testing, preventive maintenance, and repair of infrastructure equipment and associated electrical, mechanical, and integration of sensor systems per specifications and operational procedures within Client technical facilities. The Technician will serve as an instructor, providing technical training and hands‑on instruction to internal personnel and/or customers on UAS systems operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures to ensure safe and effective performance in the field.
