Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks a systems engineer to advance unmanned aerial system networking, autonomy, and integration across software and hardware platforms.

You will contribute to an autonomy stack for guided flight and edge processing, with emphasis on reliable C2, distributed systems, and thorough validation across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 12+ years experience as a network engineer
• Expert level knowledge of multicast (IGMP) and PIM
• Expert level knowledge of unicast protocols OSPF and BGP
• Experience with end-to-end testing of unicast and multicast data flows
• Experience with QoS and CBWFQ
• Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Hands-on networking design and testing for LOS/BLOS
• Proficiency in Python or Matlab scripting
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Must hold a U.S. Secret security clearance
• Ability to travel domestically up to 50% and work onsite in Costa Mesa, CA

Responsibilities

• Enable UAS C2 capabilities through resilient network design
• Derive system/subsystem/component level requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain system components that meet requirements
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging for reliability and scalability in distributed systems
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and product managers for seamless integration
• Document software processes and ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements
