Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a senior systems engineer to design, develop, and validate end-to-end flight and autonomy systems for unmanned aerial systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architecture, and interfaces across software and hardware domains.

The role emphasizes rapid prototyping, rigorous testing, and delivering reliable autonomy stacks with edge processing, plus travel for test campaigns in line with security clearances.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of post-grad industry experience in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or systems engineering.
• A passion for systems design development, integration, and test.
• Hands-on prototyping, troubleshooting, and build experience.
• Experience developing automated test scripts and frameworks using a common language (e.g. Python, MATLAB, etc)
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture; U.S. Secret clearance or higher; travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system development by defining requirements and architecture.
• Design, develop, and maintain system components meeting functional and performance requirements in complex system environments
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability, scalability, and resilience of software applications, especially within a distributed systems context
• Work closely with hardware engineers and product managers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components
• Collaborate with the team to define and document software engineering processes and practices, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements
