Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Sr. Payroll Practitioner to manage payroll for our U.S.-based locations from Florham Park, NJ. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing with responsive support to employees and managers.

Responsibilities include multi-state payroll for 800+ employees, timecard validation, and audits. Proficiency with Workday or similar HRIS and Excel/Word is required; Pay ranges will be determined by experience and location.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as a Payroll Practitioner in US payroll.
• Strong knowledge of payroll and tax regulations/processes.
• Experience with wage attachments/garnishments.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Workday or similar).
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Exposure to union payrolls or collective bargaining agreements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely US payroll for 800+ employees on weekly/biweekly cycles.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local regulations, wage and hour laws, and company policies.
• Review timecards, inputs, adjustments, and approvals before deadlines.
• Audit payroll results and resolve discrepancies.
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve payroll/time-in-attendance inquiries.
• Maintain rotations, pay policies, and accrual tracking; coordinate with Benefits.
• Approve hires, terminations, and staffing changes with proper documentation.
• Administer withholding orders and liaise with agencies.
• Process off-cycle payments, reimbursements, and stop-payments.
• Maintain confidential payroll records per SOX controls.
• Support audits with required reports and documentation.
• Provide customer service to employees across locations; collaborate on projects.
