Job summary

Honeywell INC. in Houston, TX is seeking a Sr. Application Engineer to drive commercial operations, leading complex turbomachinery control projects from inquiry to order and ensuring technical rigor, pricing discipline, and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires 5+ years in turbomachinery controls, strong proposal and contract review skills, and excellent English communication. Travel ~10% and an incentive plan are included.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in turbomachinery controls engineering or related controls/automation field.
• Working knowledge of turbomachinery applications (gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, and related control systems).
• Understanding of costing and pricing models.
• Familiarity with field instrumentation, monitoring systems, plant software and controls installations.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal and external resources to meet goals.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute proposals from Inquiry to Order with emphasis on complex projects.
• Review technical specifications and terms for job proposals and contracts.
• Collaborate with Project Engineering and SMEs on technical solutions.
• Maintain inquiry handling and proposal generation to reflect technical and commercial needs.
• Negotiate T&Cs with customers and guide Account Managers.
• Ensure pricing within guidelines and manage discount requests in DOA process.
