Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace US LLC seeks a Principal Engineer to shape turbomachinery engineering strategy, lead advanced analysis, testing, and modeling, and drive best practices across the organization.

You will report to the Engineering Manager in Torrance, guiding cross-functional teams and delivering high-reliability turbomachinery products while mentoring engineers and aligning projects with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in turbomachinery design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials applicable to turbomachinery.
• Proficiency in design and analysis software such as ANSYS or MATLab.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage turbomachinery projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing to integrate turbomachinery systems.
• Perform technical assessments and provide solutions for complex turbomachinery challenges.
• Facilitate design reviews, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster technical development within the team.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
