Job summary

American Electric Power in Jenks, OK seeks a Senior Turbine Coordinator to lead planning, execution, and oversight of major maintenance outages and capital projects for steam and gas turbines, generators and associated equipment.

The role requires extensive turbine-generator experience, risk management, and cross-functional leadership to ensure safe completion within budget and schedule, with opportunities for growth across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business, or related technical field.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee major maintenance outages and capital projects across turbine, generator, boiler feed pump and related systems.
• Lead outage planning, scope development, scheduling, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate activities among Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Contractors, and OEM representatives.
• Manage risk, cost, and schedule to ensure safe, compliant and reliable operation.
• Provide technical leadership from scope development through commissioning and return to service.
