Job summary

The Senior Turbine Coordinator at AEP Service Corporation manages planning, execution, and oversight of major outages and capital projects across steam and gas turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant equipment. You will lead outage teams, drive schedule adherence, and ensure safety and cost controls across the fleet from scope development through commissioning.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and at least eight years in power generation or turbine

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years in power generation, turbine-generator maintenance, outage management, or related utility experience.
• Experience leading major maintenance outages and large multidisciplinary projects; strong leadership and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of major turbine, gas turbine, and generator outages.
• Develop outage work scopes, schedules, milestones, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate outage activities across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Contractors, and OEMs.
• Manage outage critical paths and schedule recovery actions.
• Lead startup, commissioning, testing, and return-to-service activities.
• Serve as Project Manager for maintenance and capital improvement projects.
