Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Senior Turbine Aerodynamicist to lead aerodynamic design for aircraft and industrial gas turbines. You will drive long-term strategy, engage with the Turbine Aerodynamics Design Board, and guide design, manufacturing, testing, and field operations across the organization.

The role supports remote or onsite work at the Cincinnati headquarters, with a base pay range of $150,000–$190,000 USD annually and eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in turbomachinery aerodynamics; minimum of 15 years of relevant technical experience.
• Master’s Degree from an accredited college/university in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in turbomachinery aerodynamics; minimum of 14 years of relevant technical experience.
• PhD from an accredited college/university in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in turbomachinery aerodynamics; minimum of 12 years of relevant technical experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with emphasis in turbomachinery aerodynamics; major relevant technical experience (European candidates).

Responsibilities

• Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in Turbine Aerodynamic Design across product lifecycle.
• Promote systems thinking, risk mitigation, and problem-solving with stakeholders.
• Utilize and mentor others in DEQ processes and improvement tools to reduce variation.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and drive design/process/production changes across domains.
• Lead program issue resolution to meet customer and regulatory expectations.
• Drive cross-domain collaboration to maximize business value.
• Coach and train early-career personnel; foster psychological safety.
