Job summary

GE Aerospace in Cincinnati, Ohio, seeks an experienced Senior Turbine Aerodynamicist to lead advanced turbine design and integration for aircraft engines and industrial products. You will drive strategic planning, mentor engineers, and collaborate with the Turbine Aerodynamics Design Board to deliver robust solutions while addressing safety and performance goals.

The role offers remote or onsite work options, with in-person orientation on Day 1.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD with turbomachinery aerodynamics emphasis.
• 15+ years of relevant technical experience for US candidates with Bachelor’s degree; 14 years for Master’s; 12 years for PhD.
• Experience with DEQ, design/process improvements, and cross-domain collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in Turbine Aerodynamic Design and Analysis across product lifecycle.
• Promote systems thinking, risk mitigation, and problem-solving methodologies while engaging stakeholders.
• Utilize and mentor others in the DEQ process (DCRs, DRs, producibility reviews) and apply robust design tools.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and drive implementation across domains, sites, or organizations.
• Evaluate gaps and develop, communicate, and maintain Engineering/Manufacturing Practices Manuals.
