Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks an experienced Cyber Systems Engineer to support Advanced Tactical Missions. You will help design baked-in cybersecurity protections, craft RMF documentation, and guide verification across the system lifecycle.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, plus strong RMF, governance, and communication skills to coordinate with DoD/IC customers. Based in Linthicum, MD with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires an active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to sit for a polygraph.
• Experience with RMF assessment and authorization documentation.
• Experience with RMF accreditation functions (NIST 800-37) including POAM management.
• Experience with DoW/IC System Security Engineering activities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to interface with internal teams and customers.
• Experience integrating Cyber Systems Engineering requirements with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

• Support the architecture and design of baked-in cybersecurity requirements and protections.
• Provide cybersecurity system engineering implementation guidance to technical teams.
• Review and assess stakeholder security objectives, protection needs and verification methods.
• Identify, quantify, and evaluate costs/benefits of security functions for decision making.
• Author and maintain cybersecurity program documentation: SSPs, RMF artifacts, monitoring plans, risk assessments.
• Apply CSSE practices to Cross Domain Solutions and related tech areas.
