Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to support the Advanced Tactical Missions BU from Morrisville, NC, with possible locations in Linthicum, MD or Fairfax, VA. The CSSE ensures cyber protections are built into system designs and supports RMF documentation and verification efforts.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, strong communication skills, and experience across DoD/IC security practices within an Agile SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline; 12 years relevant experience; 10 years with a Master's; 8 years with a PhD.
• Active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance required; willing to sit for polygraph.
• Experience with RMF accreditation, documentation, POAM management, and SDLC alignment.

Responsibilities

• Support architecture and design of baked-in cybersecurity requirements.
• Provide cybersecurity system engineering implementation guidance.
• Review stakeholder security objectives and verification methods.
• Evaluate costs/benefits of security functions for risk decisions.
• Create and maintain cybersecurity program documentation and RMF artifacts.
• Apply CSSE responsibilities to Cross Domain Solutions as needed.
