Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth in Klamath Falls, OR is seeking an Advanced Truck Technician/Mechanic for the day shift to diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks. You will lead by example, uphold safety and quality, and mentor peers in the shop.

You will analyze complex mechanical and electronic malfunctions, select the best repair strategy, and complete repairs with precision to maximize uptime. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience on medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge. Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of Class 7/8 trucks.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic malfunctions and determine repair strategy.
• Perform repairs or rebuilds on major systems: engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical, air systems.
• Mentor and support other technicians in the shop.
• Maximize uptime and ensure safe, correct repairs on first attempt.
