Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth in Portland, OR is seeking an Experienced Truck Technician/Mechanic for the day shift. You will service medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and work in a fully equipped shop with experienced colleagues.

Requirements include 2+ years of relevant experience, diesel tech degree acceptable, and own tools. Compensation ranges $33.80–$38.15 per hour with strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience on medium/heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks incl engines, electrical, HVAC, and chassis.
• Diesel tech degree accepted.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins MX software experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer relations; must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Class 7/8 trucks to high standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair or rebuild components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, or air systems.
• Work with highly trained technicians in a fully equipped shop.
