Job summary

Schnabel Engineering is seeking a Trenchless Practice Lead with a background in trenchless design for new installations and rehabilitation to support our Tunnel Business Unit. The role focuses on leading business development, project management, and staff management for design and construction phase support of trenchless projects.

Must travel up to 25% and be able to work on active construction sites; remote/work-from-home options available dependent on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited school (Masters preferred).
• Licensed Professional Engineer; ability to extend licensure to other US states through reciprocity.
• Minimum 15 years tunnel engineering experience with strong trenchless background; significant project experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and construction phase support for trenchless installations and rehabilitation projects.
• Manage trenchless and tunnel projects including scope, schedule, budget, and client relations.
• Collaborate with multidiscipline teams across locations and lead geotechnical/trenchless analyses.
