Job summary

VSP Vision Care seeks a senior enterprise systems architect to develop business and application architecture strategy, and provide project oversight across design, development, enhancements, maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, reporting, and support.

You will collaborate with Data, Product, Systems and other technical teams to architect integration processes, lead architectural reviews, govern go/no-go decisions, mentor team members, and own end-to-end reporting solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years business or systems analyst experience.
• Experience managing vendors to a contractual agreement with defined service levels.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships.
• Experience planning, implementing, and managing process change in an organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms and able to tailor communication to the audience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Cognos, and/or SQL.
• Ability to work with and analyze large sets of data.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot simple to relatively complex systems or process issues and design specific solutions.
• Ability to provide 24x7 global on-call production support as needed.
• Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business and application architecture strategy.
• Provide project oversight across design, development, enhancements, maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, reporting, and support of business applications and systems.
• Serve as strategic systems advisor to deliver long-term, sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with Data, Product, Systems and other technical teams to architect integration processes between systems.
• Lead architectural review sessions and oversee go/no-go decisions.
• Lead requirement gathering and refinement for large/complex software implementations.
• Drive strategy and solution development from system architecture, process, and team management perspectives.
• Provide vendor management and oversight.
• Coach and guide team members, participate in reviews.
• Analyze, diagnose, and draw conclusions on complex technical problems.
• For large projects, analyze requirements, evaluate options, develop plans, evaluate vendor products, recommend end-to-end solutions, implement, and ensure quality.
• Serve as product owner in design, development, enhancement, and implementation of integrated system solutions and reporting.
• Provide hands-on guidance to troubleshoot and resolve business-impacting issues with partners, IT, and vendors.
• Propose changes to address system issues and improve functionality.
• Perform continuous analysis on results to provide strategic solutions to improve performance.
• Coordinate knowledge management tool development for procedures and policies.
