VSP Vision is seeking an established technology leader to manage critical areas, setting direction across software, security, architecture, and infrastructure. You will coordinate with stakeholders, manage risk, and drive improvements while meeting schedules and SLAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience with hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of direct reports.
• In-depth knowledge for primary technology area.
• Strong demonstrated people skills and technical visionary skills.
• For remote/hybrid roles, must demonstrate engagement in virtual environments, including camera presence.

Responsibilities

• Provide management for areas of responsibility and set direction for operations and change-the-business.
• Inform others of high-level technical impediments and provide updates on timelines and SLAs.
• Consistently meet deliverables' target dates or within expected timeframe.
• Provide technology planning in support of GTS and company direction and overlay strategies.
• Direct technical daily, quarterly and annual planning for group.
• Engage team and peers in opportunity identification to enhance technology.
• Drive and adopt functional change within technology group and adjacent areas.
• Engage in reactive and proactive issue identification and problem-solving.
• Develop best practices for technology functional areas and infrastructure.
• Identify operational and strategic risks; mitigate identified risks.
• Remain current on new technology and methods to ensure state-of-the-art solutions.
• Coordinate training to ensure staff have appropriate skill sets.
