Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking a senior architect to define and drive the business and application architecture strategy across customer systems. You will guide design, development, enhancements, maintenance, and support of critical business applications, collaborating with Data, Product, and IT teams.

The role requires the ability to lead large-scale initiatives, manage vendors, and provide technical coaching while delivering sustainable, end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years business or systems analyst experience.
• Experience managing vendors to a contractual agreement with defined service levels.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships.
• Experience planning, implementing, and managing process change in an organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business and application architecture strategy.
• Serve as a strategic systems advisor to deliver long-term solutions.
• Collaborate with Data, Product, Systems, and other teams to architect integrations between systems.
• Produce architectural and technical documentation for supported technologies.
• Lead architectural reviews and oversee go/no-go decisions.
• Gather and refine requirements for large, complex software implementations.
• Drive strategy and solution development from architecture, process, and team perspective.
• Provide vendor management and oversight.
• Coach and review team members for growth and development.
• Analyze complex technical problems and propose solutions.
• Evaluate customer requirements, select technology options, and implement end-to-end solutions.
• Serve as product owner in design, development, and implementation of integrated systems and reporting.
• Provide hands-on guidance to troubleshoot and resolve business-impacting issues.
