This is a hybrid-remote position - incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only, may work 1-2 days a,month at an assigned Legacy Health location, and other days may work remotely at home, on the road or in a satellite location for the remainder of their workweek.
All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork. This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the hybrid schedule.

The Senior Treasury Accountant performs accounting duties of a complex nature requiring advanced experience, knowledge, and competency in accounting principles and practices. Works with broad discretion as to work details on assignments of a varied, diverse and difficult nature.
The Senior Treasury Accountant has accountability for effective coordination of significant projects or processes, specifically (1) Investment analysis and accounting including cost to market and impairment review, (2) treasury functions including responsibility for cash- pool and cash forecasting, (3) retirement plan accounting and audit responsibility, and (4) review of team projects, as needed.
This position uses advanced knowledge of major financial and data systems, as well as PC technologies. The product of this work must be thoroughly documented, concisely written, and effectively communicated.
Essential Functions
Investments - Develops and maintains tools to monitor investment portfolios on an on-going basis. Coordinates data from custodian, manager, and consultant in order to accurately report investment balances and results in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles for both corporate and retirement plan assets.
Treasury - Develops and maintains tools to accurately forecast cash requirements for Legacy, using data from patient billing systems, purchasing and disbursement systems, capital projections, scheduled debt service payments and other significant cash flows as identified. Using these tools, proactively identifies available cash for short- or long-term investment or shortfalls to be raised from invested balances. Also responsible for daily and monthly cash balancing, wire transfers, and other bank related activity and serves as major liaison with outside financial institutions. Develops a thorough understanding of system features and functionality to ensure optimal use of system tools.
Retirement Plans - Maintains accounting records for all retirement benefit plans, prepares financial statements and regulatory reports and is responsible for the annual audits. Coordinates accounting and reporting issues for the Legacy financial statements, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, including expense recognition, funding requirements, and disclosure.
Budget- Participates in annual budget and strategic planning processes, particularly with respect to investments and cash needs.
Qualifications
Education: BS or BA in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience. CPA preferred.
Experience: Minimum five years accounting experience that includes full financial statement responsibility, or at least three years of public accounting experience.
Treasury Or Investment Specific Experience Preferred.
Computer Knowledge: Experience with spreadsheet and word processing software required. Relational database and query knowledge preferred.
Communication: Excellent written and oral presentation skills. Ability to work independently as well as communicate in a timely/appropriate manner with direct supervisor. Sound facilitation, consensus building and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated judgment in managing/prioritizing multiple complex tasks and reaching appropriate analytical conclusions. Demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-functional projects in setting goals, giving appropriate support, evaluating, directing, and holding colleagues accountable while maintaining high morale and productivity.
