Job Overview

Position: Part-Time Senior Accountant (Independent Contractor)

We are a small, independent bookkeeping firm serving clients in thetrades, service, and manufacturing industries.We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientedSenior Accountantto join our finance team on a part-time, contract basis.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for conducting monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reviews, as well as preparing and analyzing financial statements. Your work will ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and provide valuable insights to support client decision-making.

Please Note:

Do not apply if your experience is limited to tax preparation.This role requires hands-on experience with corporate accounting, financial statement preparation, and general ledger management.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably in service, trades, or manufacturing sectors
• Strong understanding ofinventory accounting,ClassandSubaccountstructures
• Demonstrated ability to perform financial reviews and generate accurate financial statements
• Proficiency in QuickBooks online required, desktop is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without direct supervision

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of inventory and Class and Subaccounts
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
• Expert with debits, credits, financial auditing processes, and overall accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey financial information to stakeholders.
• Recent experience with trades, manufacturing, service, or transportation industries required.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
