Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks a Senior Project Executive – Data Center to lead multiple project teams on high-profile data center builds. The role is primarily on-site with travel to offices for trainings and meetings.

You’ll oversee safety, schedule, budget, and contract compliance while guiding project teams and coordinating with owners, subcontractors, and vendors. A strong engineering/CM background and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 12–18 years of experience
• Previous hyperscale data center experience is required
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Assumes overall accountability for jobsite safety and contract requirements
• Verifies project financial forecast and billings to meet contract requirements
• Develops a project-specific quality plan aligned with contract documents
• Leads a closeout plan in alignment with contract documents
• Provides leadership to motivate the project team and maintain a positive work environment
• Directs and supervises project administration, superintendents, and engineers
• Manages subcontracting strategy and buyout process integrity
• Negotiates contracts and leads risk mitigation plan implementation
• Ensures project compliance with insurance and bonds
• Leads design phase for GMP or design-build projects
• Oversees schedule planning and manages schedule risks
• Develops understanding of local markets to lead networking strategy
• Partners with business development to align sales and client capture plans
• Responsible for career development and coaching of team members
• Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment
• Translates organizational strategy to the team
