Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Senior MEP Project Manager to oversee planning, management, and execution of data center construction projects. You will lead the project team, prepare budgets and schedules, and ensure safety and quality while meeting owner expectations.

The role requires strong negotiation, budgeting, and coordination with vendors, architects, and clients. A degree in civil engineering or construction management and extensive PM experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field required.
• Minimum of six years project management experience in data center construction preferred.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
• Understanding of construction laws, design codes, and contractual language.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to read plans, blueprints, and specifications and manage costs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing project estimates and budgets.
• Lead project team in developing the PMP and milestones.
• Coordinate permits, subcontracts, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop project schedules and manage procurement within budget.
• Monitor safety, quality, and risk management plans.
• Manage change orders and owner/subcontractor negotiations.
• Prepare monthly client pay requests and oversee cost reviews.
• Close out projects with as-built drawings and final documents.
