Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking an experienced Transportation - Water Resources Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA. You will conduct hydrologic/hydraulic studies, drainage and SWM design for transportation projects, and prepare permits and contract documents.

The role requires PA PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months, with experience on PennDOT and PA Turnpike projects considered a plus. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. Civil Engineering required.
• 5–10 years of hydrology/hydraulics/drainage/SWM/ESC design experience.
• PA PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months via comity.
• Experience with PennDOT/PA Turnpike specs and projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic studies and drainage/SWM/ESC design for transportation projects.
• Prepare environmental permits and contract documents, perform QC/peer reviews.
• Support marketing and business development; mentor staff.
