Job summary

Egis Group is seeking a Senior Transportation & Traffic Engineering Lead to guide planning, traffic engineering, and highway safety initiatives across Texas. The role focuses on complex project delivery, client engagement, and strategic pursuits for TxDOT and related agencies.

You will mentor teams, provide technical excellence, and contribute to business development while delivering high-impact transportation solutions. Texas licensure and 12+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within six months.
• 12+ years of progressive transportation engineering experience.
• Experience leading complex transportation projects for state DOTs or public agencies.
• Strong project management including budgeting and scheduling.
• Experience leading transportation engineering pursuits and client presentations.
• Strong knowledge of transportation engineering standards, traffic operations, and safety analyses.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for transportation planning and traffic engineering.
• Lead traffic operations studies, safety analyses, and corridor studies.
• Oversee reports, studies, and design deliverables with TxDOT compliance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead complex projects from planning through execution and delivery.
• Manage budgets, schedules, staffing, and client satisfaction.
