Job summary

TERRA Engineering, Ltd. is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to lead a range of traffic-related projects in the Bolingbrook, IL area.

The role involves overseeing project initiation, execution, and close-out, coordinating with internal and external teams, and ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of engineering experience and a PTOE certification, with strong leadership and communication skills to support business development and staff

Qualifications

• 8+ years of applicable engineering experience.
• Professional Licensure preferred.
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) Certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in proposal development and client interviews for a range of project sizes and types.
• Lead project teams to develop schedules and budgets aligning with client goals.
• Oversee day-to-day activities and coordination of multidisciplinary teams across engineering disciplines.
• Manage project communications, documentation, and quality controls to meet contractual requirements.
• Provide risk assessment, financial tracking, and staff development plans for projects.
