Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County is seeking an Engineer 3 - Project Manager to lead CHYM project management within the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT). The role focuses on sidewalk, signal, and complete street projects, overseeing budgets, staff, contracts, and scoping from planning through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 8+ years of post-degree engineering experience, including 4 years as a PE and 2 years in lead/supervisory roles.
• A Tennessee Professional Engineering License must be obtained prior to end of six-month probationary period; licensure from any state acceptable to be pursued.
• PMP certification preferred; experience with TDOT NDOT specs/guidelines and contract administration.
• Strong project management, budgeting, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops standards, criteria, policies, and long-range plans for project management related to infrastructure delivery.
• Oversees major projects from planning through design, right-of-way, and construction completion.
• Manages budgets, staff, and contracts; coordinates consultants and vendors.
• Reviewsgrant applications, prepares reports, and presents to stakeholders.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Metro ordinances.
