Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Sr Project Controls Specialist in Nashville, TN to lead project controls for the Metro Nashville CHYM program. You will mentor junior staff, oversee budgets and schedules, develop cost forecasts, and support PMCS implementations. Strong coordination with the project team and client is essential.

The role emphasizes advanced project controls techniques, advisory input on schedules, and leadership across multiple control disciplines for a major infrastructure program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field and 9 years’ relevant experience, or
• In lieu of education, 13 years’ relevant experience OR 9 years’ relevant direct contractor experience
• Project Controls experience in all phases of project lifecycle (pre-design, design, procurement, construction, and post-construction)
• Experience coordinating with client leadership and delivering client needs in a multi-discipline program

Responsibilities

• Prepares material, labor, and equipment cost estimates for concept designs, design development documents, bid documents and change orders.
• Develops budgets and schedules from concept through completion, linking cost estimates to schedule activity durations.
• Oversees and coordinates the creation of program/project management plans and procedures for several project controls activities.
• Participates in review of monthly progress schedules and provides advisory input to the project manager or client.
• Develops cost forecasts and trends; analyzes accruals and maintains estimating standards.
• Mentors junior staff and may serve as technical lead on project controls activities.
