Job summary

Buchart Horn is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Civil Engineer to lead transportation and infrastructure projects in the Pittsburgh region. You will oversee technical design, project delivery, and client engagement while guiding a team of engineers and designers.

This leadership role requires PE licensure, ABET-accredited degree, and experience with PennDOT projects. You will mentor staff, support business development, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• Experience managing PennDOT projects preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with civil design tools including MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full project lifecycle from planning through construction support.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate across project phases.
• Develop work plans and monitor progress to meet client expectations and contracts.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews ensuring conformance with standards and specs.
• Provide mentoring to junior engineers and designers.
