Job summary

Buchart Horn in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Senior Engineer/Project Manager for the Water Resources group to lead technical development on municipal and utility projects from planning through construction. You will mentor engineers, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as primary client liaison while delivering designs for treatment facilities, pumping stations, and collection systems.

Requires PE license, ABET-accredited degree, and strong background in water/wastewater engineering;

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree in civil, environmental or chemical engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Strong background in water and wastewater engineering and infrastructure design.
• Experience as technical lead and/or project manager on complex projects.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or BIM tools and Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with WaterGEMS/SewerGEMS/BioWin or similar process modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development and delivery of water and wastewater projects.
• Manage projects from planning through construction documentation.
• Mentor EITs, interns, and designers on engineering best practices.
• Serve as primary client liaison, overseeing budgets and schedules.
• Support permitting and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Review drawings, develop specs, estimates, and sequencing.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across the firm.
