Job summary

Otak seeks a Senior Transportation Project Manager to join our Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA offices, overseeing resilient civil and active transportation projects.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams from planning through construction, guiding client engagement to deliver safe, sustainable solutions across Oregon and SW Washington, including roadways, trails, bridges, and civic improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• PE license with ability to obtain registration in OR and WA within six months.
• 15+ years of progressive civil engineering experience focused on transportation, infrastructure, drainage, and utility design.
• Strong technical background in roadway, multimodal, and transit infrastructure design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, or similar design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary transportation and transit projects from planning through construction, delivering context-sensitive designs.
• Oversee scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring technical excellence and profitability.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Advance Otak’s presence through technical leadership and community-focused design solutions.
• Engage with ODOT, WSDOT, and other agencies to address design and construction challenges.
