Job summary

RK&K seeks a Senior Project Engineer to plan, design, and deliver transportation projects, collaborating with engineers and PMs on diverse delivery types. You'll prepare roadway design plans using OpenRoads Designer and contribute to technical reports, modeling, and plan production.

Hybrid work preferred in Fairfax, VA, with remote options considered; travel may be required by projects. Eight+ years in transportation design and a VA PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months) are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years experience in transportation infrastructure design.
• Active Professional Engineer license in VA or able to obtain within 6 months.
• Proficient in ORD for roadway design and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support technical design on diverse transportation projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across offices.
• Serve as liaison between internal teams, clients, and contractors.
• Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, and design reports using ORD.
• Participate in proposals, design-build pursuits, and presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support career development.
